Maintenance Worker

This position is located within the maintenance division at Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site. Perform simple and routine maintenance and repair of grounds, interior and exterior structures, buildings, equipment and related utilities. Assist higher graded maintenance worker or tradesperson in the performance of their work. Perform minor carpentry, minor painting, plumbing, masonry and road surface repairs, etc. using simple measures. Unload and process incoming shipments according to established procedures. Maintain grounds and trails. Operate vehicles up to 1 ton and may be required to travel for supplies. Clean and service chemical toilets, restrooms and other visitor facilities. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Perform routine maintenance, repair, and construction tasks in at least two of the following areas:
carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and/or grounds keeping without more than normal supervision. (SCREEN OUT) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading)Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and EquipmentKnowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.Knowledge of materialsTechnical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)Use of Measuring Instruments If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
